| Kardez Handmade Soaps began as a homebased business in 2003. We initially opened in Virginia Beach, Va. Kardez was born when my daughter-in-law and I began experimenting with soap making in my kitchen. We were soon selling to my daycare parents, friends and my son's and husband's co-workers. We soon out grew that! We opened at Bill's Flea Market, Virginia Beach. We opened our first shop at Holland Plaza, Virginia Beach, then a bigger shop! Due to my husband's job, we packed up and moved to Amelia, Va; where I continue my passion of soap making, and now quilting!

| It's A Small World!
One day about 2 years ago a lady came into my shop at Chula Junction and was scanning the store when she suddenly said to me , "I KNOW this logo. I've bought these products before! I know your face too!" She had been traveling from Virginia Beach to Longwood College and just happened to stop here for a break. We were both delighted to meet up once again. She was delighted to get our soaps, she had been looking for us for some time! Of course I had to bring her around to other vendors and introduce her to everyone! It was a heartwarming, accidental encounter that I will remember forever!
